Project DESCRIPTION:
In this project we were asked to choose and issue that we were interested in. Once we found out which topic that we were going to do then we were assigned to research the topic on both sides of the argument, supporting and opposed. In the begging of the project we made a document that would hold our personal connections, supporting, and opposed. In this document it would hold all of the information that we need to complete this project. Once we were done with the paper then we moved on to making a visual piece that would go well with the paper to be able to communicate your ideology to the audience. We then had a disruption as a class to decide how to exhibit this project and we came up with the solution to have and exhibition on our issue and to have a seminar talking about the topic "Willingness to be Disturbed".
Reflection:
I feel like this project was a success in my point of view, it had pros and cons to it. For the exhibition portion I feel like there wasn`t enough people to visit the exhibits and had that really low energy. But once more people started showing up there was more interactions with the projects and audience. When I was exhibiting I meet a lot of people that were interested in my topic and was able to tell them which side I am on and then got to educate them on the topic and then got hear there opinions on the topic. There were people that agreed with me and people that disagreed but just being able to hear they’re their opinions and beliefs about the topic was very educational because I was able to have the willingness to be disturbed. For the seminar portion it was pretty interesting to hear what they had to say about the questions being asked and I do think that the adults mainly took over the seminar and then sometimes they would just say their perspective and then another and then it would lead to an argument and that wasn’t the meaning of the seminar. The meaning of the seminar is to teach you that you have to have the willingness to be disturbed and to hear the other side’s opinions and have an open mind. But overall I fee like this project was successful and educational for both students and audience.
