Video Project:
Project Description :
When we first started this project I really didn't know what to do and my parents were giving me so many ideas that I just decided to do something that I enjoy which was drawing and I also wanted to add stop motion in this movie so I decided to use one of those stick figure models. I thought that Roxy`s lectures and videos were very helpful because I didn't really know how to use movie maker and flash but after her lectures and videos I got a hang of it.
Project Reflection:
What I learned was how to make a movie out of scratch, like for example the title was made from scratch and the idea that I came up with to make this movie. I also learned how to take a stop motion that I made and turn it into a movie. I`m going to take away from this project that I'm capable of making a movie out of scratch and turn it into something great and this will be useful in the future because when I`m a upper class men then I can already know the skills on how to make a project like this and maybe for a job.
Art is used everyday in many ways, it could be when you're watching a TV show or when you decide to just doodle in your notebook when you in class or even if you just see art everyday. Everyone has a different definition of what art is and practically anything could be art if you think about it.
What is old, and what's new in any work of art? A old piece of art could be the Mona Lisa painting or even the Sistine Chapel and others. But can possibly tell by how they are old and new by the type of style they are doing. Like you can easily tell old school from new school like graffiti and digital art.
What problem-solving skills are employed in making works of art? A skill would be to be able to refine your artwork or ask someone what they think about it and then they could give you feedback and that way you could make the artwork even better than it was at first.
Why do Artists Produce Preliminary Plans? Artists produce preliminary plans because that's how you get the feeling of what you're going to make and that way you can do multiple changes to your idea in order to make to the best it could possibly be. Even the best kind of artist have to draw out sketches.
How does Material Culture influence artistic decisions?

POLITICAL CARTOON PROJECT:
A VISUAL RESPONSE TO THE DOCUMENTARY, BLACKFISH:
I do believe that I meet the project objectives because I came up with an Idea to be able to show the world my political cartoon about the movie black fish. My political cartoon gets my message across to the intended audience because I show the whale Tillicum
sitting in side a bath tube playing with these toy boats that are capturing humans, in the movie black fish one of the news reporters said if you spent most of your life n a bath tube wouldn't you get made. So the whale represents Tillicum and the bath tube represents that he is to packed up in the pool and that he fells captured and he`s such a big whale that its to packed in with the whales and that if he is left in this small pool with the other whales he will get angry and mite take t out on one of the sea world trainers, so we should release the whales and let them be free. Information be shared artistically by many ways, for example it can be expressed by feelings and giving feelings. The artist can use his feelings to create art. The audience then can experience these feelings by looking at the artists art work. Creating art is different from viewing art because when your doing art you get in this state of flow and its like time fly's by when your just thinking about your piece of art work and by the time your done with your art work you feel that your proud of what you have drawn or a since of accomplishment and you just get the source of energy to show everyone what you have made. Its so much different from looking at a piece of art because maybe some people mite just look at it and say that's just another piece of art and move on, compared to another person taking the time to look at the drawing and think of what it means or what they love about it and how that person did an outstanding piece of art. But those are my thoughts, people all have different opinion's and ideas of this question.

PRE HISTORIC ART HISTORY DRAWINGS :
I started this project by just drawing a simple wolf while we were being taught about our per historic project. The context around the project was to teach us about how humans were the first people to create the dog and also how humans made art in the past. WE first started learning about the history back then and then we had to draw pre historic animals and I decided to draw the wolf. Another context around this project was to teach us how to use illustrator and how to take one of our drawings and scan it and how to make an drawing as big as a building or as small as a nail or how to trace it with the pen tool or other tools. The resources that I used to improve my drawing was using the scanner to scan my drawing and then I used Illustrator to change the affects on my regular drawing in to five different drawings. I also asked my class mates on how to improve my drawing.
I feel that image trace technique impacted my drawing a lot because it really showed me so many affects that I could do to my simple drawings and it really helped seeing what I could do to my drawing before I made it pernimate on to my regular drawing like color or other shades. I would say that I could be seeing my self using image trace in the future because its very use full and it could really help me in the future of digital arts projects. I thought that this project was a pretty good project because I got to draw in class and I got to learn how to use illustrator and how to use the different tools like the pen tool and this project will defiantly help me in the future with my drawings and other projects.
self portrait :
This was my self portrait that I made it this way because I wanted to put everything that makes me and the things that I love to do into this on self portrait. I put the graffiti artist in there because that represents that I love to do art and its one of my talents and the reason I put my family in there because I love my family and there very important to me and they ave helped me make me into how I am today and there just the best thing I could have. I also put a pair of running shoes in there because I like to run and it on of my most favorite hobby`s and I like to do lots of running sports and just going out on a run or a jog r just a simply walk. Last but not lest is the feathers on the top left corner, I put those on there because I wanted those feathers to represent my native american culture and that I proud that I am half Navajo and half Apache. These are the things that make me me and I feel proud of this self portrait.
TEACHER CREATURE PROJECT:
PROJECT REFLECTION-
At first I had to interview a teacher with some questions that we had to ask about them and like location wise. The next day we got our emails back from the teachers we interviewed and then that day we had brain storm some ideas that we had on what to turn our teacher that we picked or what to add to that teacher in our digital art comp books. After we had some ideas we would show Roxy and let her look at it and if it was good she would put a star sticker on it to say you’re all good. After that Roxy wanted us to do some tutorials on Photoshop and the tutorials were about how to change hair color, eye color, word text, add stuff to the face, add vampire teeth etc. She wanted us to do these tutorials because just in case she wasn't here then we would know how to do these kinds of things and it would be less questions to ask her so after you did five of these tutorials then you were allowed to start working on your teacher creature project. So my idea for my teacher creature project was to put Stephens Sellers face on the dog from lady and the tramp so I took Stephen’s face and replaced it with the tramps face. Then I got a background of Paris and put in the back ground of the lady and the tramp picture. Then I wanted to put Kylie Krauss’s face on the moon and so after I finished doing that I put it on the background. Then for the final touch I got a picture of a rose and put it on the table then I had to find some where creative to put my name so I put it in the food stick and called it finished. The hardest part of this project was getting Stephens face perfectly on the tramp and taking Kylie’s face on the moon and changing the color of her face to match the moon. My favorite part of this project was being able to do this to a teacher unlike other schools and learning new things on Photoshop and being able to finish this project. I have learned that I am able to do these kinds of things on Photoshop and that I am capable of doing things on my own without asking for help but I still have to ask for help on pacific things but I am proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort space to learn how to do art on the computers. |
