Artist Self Assessment:
I would say the most challenging part of creating this graphic novel would be making the characters face expressions and drawing their body actions. I thought this was challenging for me because drawing people is not my strongest in art and getting the face reactions right was kind of a challenge. I overcame this challenge by just getting in the flow and just being ok with how they looked like and all comics aren't perfect so I just went with it and by the time I finished the graphic novel I was proud of my work.
A panel that I'm particularly proud of is the one where John is looking at the moon because I like how I made John just sitting there looking at the moon in the dark and the moon in particular or the panel that John is getting mad at Mustapha Mond because I think that I made John’s face reaction really good because you were able to see that he was angry and using Matt’s notes to make it look good.. What I did as an artist to make this panel good is that I used the notes from the lesson that Matt showed us about how to make a good graphic novel.
What I`m overall most proud of in my work during this project was being able to work really well with my partner and and putting my time and effort into this graphic novel and sharing my ideas with my partner and that we got work done when it was needed. I've learned that I can work with my classmates well and that I can draw some pretty good graphic novels and that it takes lots of things to make a great graphic novel than just drawing people in boxes. The main thing is being able to interact with your classmates to make a beautiful piece of work.
